UK’s Brexit Government Now Claims It Didn’t See EU Ventilator E-Mail:   After initially labeling the coronavirus a hoax and proclaiming they would never take part in an EU effort to acquire more ventilators because “we are no longer a member of the EU,” the conservative UK government at Downing Street is now claiming they failed to take part in the ventilator acquisition plan - because they didn’t see the emails.   Gee, not to be overly cynical, but that sounds strangely similar to one of those tall tales which fellow white nationalist and American President Donald Trump is so darn fond of spinning.   In fact, I believe it’s commonly referred to as the “dog ate my e-mails” defense in legal circles - but, as you know, I’m not an attorney, so please make sure to consult with reputable legal counsel before actually using that excuse.  So, it appears that after Brexit, those celebratory conservative Tories must have just said “screw them,” and decided to ...

Two Men Fined for Eating Raw Squirrels to Protest Veganism:   Two men who claim veganism is unhealthy,  staged a grisly protest in front of a vegan stall at a London outdoor market by eating raw, dead squirrels (fur and all) while people were begging them to stop - have been fined and convicted of disorderly conduct. Gee, not to sound critical, but wouldn’t their protest have been just as effective if they’d eaten a couple of rare steaks instead?  Not to mention, now all the squirrels are gonna think they’re nuts.  And, while admittedly their tactics may have been a wee bit aggressive, I do see their point.  After all, someone has to get out there and promote the health benefits of red meat, coffee and cigarettes.   Of course, this incident occurred in the UK, but here in the US, we actually have a name for people like these raw squirrel eaters - here, they’re known as “Trump supporters.” https://www.johnnyrobishcomedy.com

Trump Will No Longer Deal With the UK Ambassador to US:   In a pair of tweets, President Trump said he would “no longer deal with the UK’s ambassador to the U.S.” after leaked cables revealed the diplomat’s unvarnished, harsh assessment of the Trump administration. Personally, I think there’s a good chance this is all just a huge misunderstanding and President Trump didn’t fully understand what the UK ambassador was actually saying - quite possibly because the ambassador was speaking English. Anyway, Ambassador Darroch shouldn’t really consider President Trump’s ignoring him as a really big deal.  After all, Donald Trump routinely treats about 65% of American's citizens as if they don’t exist either.  I mean, just ask the residents of Puerto Rico. Prince Philip Surrenders Driver’s License After Crash at Age 97:   After Prince Philip flipped his Land Rover last month and miraculously walked away completely uninjured from what could have been a deadly accident, Buckingham Palace has announced the 97-year-old Prince has decided to “voluntarily” surrender his driver’s license. Well, on a positive note, there’s always Uber.  Now in his defense, perhaps the Prince just forget that in the UK, they drive on the left side of the road.  That said, it’s kind of a shame he still can't keep driving just a wee bit longer - at least until President Trump pays his next visit.  I think it would be terrific if Trump had someone who really knows the area like Prince Philip does - to chauffeur him around.  Of course, here in America, we don’t have royalty, but we do have Trump - a sleazy politician who thinks he should be royalty.  Now I seriously doubt that Trump drives, but I do know that if he did - an...

Mark Zuckerberg Threatened With Imprisonment in London Standoff:   After Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg repeatedly declined the UK Parliament’s request that he testify and turn over documents regarding how his platform was used to influence elections, angry MPs reportedly sent a sergeant at arms to Zuckerberg’s hotel to “escort” him back to them where he was threatened with heavy fines and imprisonment.  Now I’m certainly no expert on English law - but I think if I were Mr Zuckerberg, I’d think about giving Julian Assange a call and ask him if they’ve got another extra bedroom over there at the Ecuadorian Embassy.  Otherwise, next thing you know - poor Zuck may find himself making all his future Facebook posts from somewhere deep inside the Tower of London.   So here we are once again - Facebook getting caught with egg on its face.  I don’t like to sound critical, but if you ask me - isn’t it about time Zuckerberg steps down and hands over the reins ...
