MAGA Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is certainly no stranger to controversy, claiming the Jan 6th rioters were actually “provocateurs” impersonating Trump supporters, then bragged he wasn’t concerned for his safety on Jan 6th, because the mob was comprised of “people that loved this country,” and not “Black Lives Matter” people.   Then, in February, he declared that Wisconsin already had enough jobs and therefore shouldn’t make a pitch to manufacture new postal vehicles, which would’ve created 1,000 new jobs.   Now, the MAGA senator is attacking both Medicare and Social Security benefits and their recipients, labeling those programs “reckless spending” and voting against a $35 cap on insulin, then suggesting “senior citizens need to go back to work.” Wait a minute!  The guy who celebrated the 4th of July in Moscow with Vladimir Putin a few years ago - said what?  Now, is it just me, or could it be that Sen. Trump Pledges to Permanently Cut Taxes That Fund Social Security and Medicare:  In one of his most controversial moves yet, President Trump said if he wins reelection in November, he will implement a permanent cut to the payroll taxes which fund Social Security and Medicare - cuts which experts call a very serious threat for the future of two our country’s main safety nets. Televangelist Jim Bakker Ordered To Stop Selling Fake Coronavirus Cure:   New York’s Attorney General has given the Jim Bakker Show 10 days to comply with a cease-and-desist letter that orders Bakker to stop touting his “Silver Solution” products, which he claims will cure the coronavirus in just 12 hours.  No kidding - you mean to tell me that Jim Bakker, the Walmart Antichrist - is still in business?  Sounds like that dude’s got it goin on!  And now he’s got himself a homemade “silver solution” that cures the coronavirus in just 12 hours?   Wow, it’s a damn good thing these televangelists work tax free!  That means more money guys like Bakker can throw into their epidemiological scientific research.  Now, I suppose about the only thing left, is for President Trump to award him one of those “Medal of Freedom” thingies he loves to give out. Poll Finds Republicans Fine with Rising US Healthcare Costs:   A new Gallup Poll found that a growing number of Republicans are just fine with the rising cost of healthcare in the United States, which has surged 20% in the past year alone. GOP Lawmaker Tells Pro-Vaccine Medical Expert to Stop Advocating Sorcery:  During testimony before a legislative committee, Texas GOP State Rep. Jonathan Stickland confronted Texas pediatrician-scientist and vaccine advocate Dr. Peter Hotez, telling him that vaccines are nothing but sorcery and extremely dangerous, scientists are “typical leftists, trying to take credit for something only the Lord God Almighty is in control of,” and that people who think otherwise are nothing but “brainwashed commies.” Gee, Rep. Trump’s New Budget Calls for $845 Billion in Cuts to Medicare:  President Trump has just unveiled his new budget plan, which not only doubles the money allocated for building his Donald Trump signature border wall, but also calls for more than $845 billion in cuts to Medicare - in order to counter the colossal budget deficits which have accumulated during his two years in office, mainly due to massive Republican tax cuts for the wealthy.
