The Republican National Committee voted Friday to condemn Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), for serving on the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, claiming their behavior “has been destructive to the institution of the U.S. House of Representatives, the Republican Party and our republic,”  The resolution accused Cheney and Kinzinger of participating in a “Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens who engaged in legitimate political discourse .” Gee whiz, now what I don’t get is, if the Jan 6th insurrection was only about "legitimate political discourse," one wonders why did Republican lawmakers hightail it the hell out of there like roaches after someone turns the light on, instead of sticking around in the House chamber, to "discuss" the issues with the nice folks who’d come for some of that “legitimate political discourse?” But, I get what Republicans are saying.  Why, it’s no di...

After Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) described the Jan. 6 riot as “a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson took to the airwaves and viciously mocked Cruz and the idea that the storming of the Capitol was an “insurrection.” Realizing this may upset Trump’s base, Cruz then went on Carlson’s show begging for forgiveness and tried to walk back his remarks, but Carlson accused Cruz of both lying and trying to portray the MAGA protestors as terrorists. In a recent interview with the extreme right-wing OAN channel, congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene recounted her recent visit to what she defines as the “Patriot Wing” of the Washington, D.C. jail, and her encounter with some of the January 6th rioters.   Ms. Greene claiming that when you looked into their eyes, you were looking at people who’d lost hope.   She further added that when they saw her, “they just started yelling and cheering and clapping and crying.” Oh really?  Well, let’s get real here!  These folks aren’t exactly choir boys, you know.  These people are hardened, neo-fascist insurrectionists.  Put another way, these guys are - Incels, who are actually “in cells.”  Now, she claims when the guys saw her, they started clapping and cheering and yelling?  Sure they did.  Of course, what these cave-dwelling, knuckle-dragging misogynists were really yelling, was probably something to the effect of - “Hey Majorie, show us your tits!”...

Dallas-area realtor and MAGA insurrectionist Jenna Ryan, who flew to Washington, D.C. on a private jet and promoted her business as she live-streamed the Capitol riot January 6th, treating it all like a big joke by tweeting "Sorry I have blonde hair white skin a great job a great future and I'm not going to jail...I did nothing wrong,” - has been sentenced to 60 days in jail. Republicans Call for Unity While Refusing to Acknowledge Biden Won:   Now that they’re on the hot seat after encouraging the January 6th insurrection by their continual refusal to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the election fair and square, Republican leaders are now pleading with Democrats for unity. Penalty for Provoking a Violent Insurrection - a 12 Hour Twitter Ban:  Twitter and Facebook have announced they will lock President Trump out of his accounts for 12 and 24 hours respectively, with Twitter warning the President that he could face permanent suspension, should he continue tweeting baseless election conspiracy theories and inciting violence.
