Trump Orders US Businesses To Leave China:   Shortly after China announced they will be slapping $75 billion more in tariffs on US goods, President Trump responded by tweeting that “American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to doing business in China.” Wow, this guy really knows his economics!  And to think there’s people out there trying to portray this President as some sort of thin-skinned, maniacal, narcissistic con artist, with a Pavlovian response to flattery?  Crazy, isn’t it?   I mean, just think about it!  Why in the hell would any American company ever want to have business dealings with the fastest growing and 2nd largest economy in the world?  What do they think this is - some kind of internationally interdependent economy? Japan Gave Trump a Colorful Map to Explain Their US Investments:   Knowing his inability to understand complicated trade issues, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented President Trump with a colorful map at this year’s Group of 20 summit in Osaka, Japan, designed to simplify Japan’s US investments - so that even someone with Trump’s limited attention span should be able to comprehend. Trump Announces $16 Billion in Aid for Farmers Hit by Trade War:   Flanked by more than a dozen U.S. farmers - some in bright red MAGA hats - President Donald Trump announced a $16 billion farm aid bailout, designed to offset losses from his trade war with China. Now, if I’m understanding this correctly, President Trump is portraying himself as a hero for offering agribusiness conglomerates a $16 billion taxpayer bailout - for a problem HE created?  Wow, now that’s what I call some serious PR skills!    The thing is, if one didn’t know any better, one might mistakenly get the impression that all this smells a helluva lot like some slick politician, trying to purchase votes to compensate for his utterly incompetent trade policies. And, not to sound skeptical, but what do you suppose are the odds that the bulk of this $16 billion bailout will ultimately find it’s way right into in the coffers of huge mega-corporations like Monsanto, Cargill, DowDuPont ...
