You've Got to Be Kidding?

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune (FL) ran an opinion piece written by Melissa Radovich this past weekend, in which her headline read “Attacking Proud Boys Does a Disservice to Caring School Parents.”   She further explained that “When I think about the Proud Boys, I think of fathers, business owners, and veterans.”   The op-ed drew so much heavy criticism nationally, that the paper was eventually forced to pull the op-ed.   Interestingly, what the paper failed to mention even in their retraction, is that this op-ed piece’s author Melissa Radovich, isn’t just some soccer mom trying to be fair-minded - she’s also married to one of the Proud Boys. Pro-Trump Groups in Violent Clashes During Election Fraud Protests:  Incensed by a Supreme Court ruling that essentially dissolved President Trump’s last-ditch efforts to invalidate November’s Presidential election, thousands of angry Trump supporters, including groups such as Proud Boys and other right-wing organizations, clashed with counterprotesters in Washington, DC and several state capitals on Saturday, to protest what they contended - without any evidence, was a stolen election. Gee, apparently the Proud Boys must have taken themselves a short break from making plans to kidnap governors - to attend this rally.  And my word, don’t those rednecks look mighty spiffy in their cute little black and yellow costumes?  Now, I’m guessing that the black symbolizes the color of their hearts, while the yellow represents the color of their spines. Hundreds Turn Out in Portland for Proud Boys Rally:   Hundreds of extremist, right-wing, white supremacist protesters from the Proud Boys organization, attended demonstrations in Portland, Ore. on Saturday in support of President Trump and his "law and order" reelection campaign.
