House Republicans have introduced new legislation to rename Washington Dulles International Airport after former president Donald J. Trump.  In a statement, Republicans declared, “As millions of domestic and international travelers fly through the airport, there is no better symbol of freedom, prosperity and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as they land on American soil.” Wow, rename such an Important airport like Dulles International after Trump ?  What for?  Is it going bankrupt?  Well, I guess that one way to ensure every flight is gonna be late.  Now, not to be critical, but I could perhaps understand naming a sewage treatment facility after Trump, but an airport - not so much.  Hey, now that I think of it, the idea of a “Donald J. During what many are calling an absolutely insane rebuttal to President Biden’s “State of the Union” address, Sen. Katie Boyd Britt (R-Ala.), walked onto a studio sound stage (set up like an upper-middle-class kitchen) and began to link a harrowing account of a young woman’s sex trafficking and rape by a Mexican drug cartel, to Joe Biden’s immigration policies of the 2020s.  She did this even though the abuse happened nearly 20 years ago and in Mexico - and at a time when Republican George W. A New York jury found that Wayne LaPierre, who led the NRA for three decades, squandered millions on exotic vacations, private jets, and expensive clothes.  The jury said he was liable for $5.4 million in damages.  Jurors also determined that the NRA failed to include or misrepresented information in tax filings and broke New York law by not adopting a whistleblower policy. With a video message and a fake quote from Winston Churchill that actually turned out to be a line from a 1930s Budweiser beer ad campaign, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis suspended his Republican presidential campaign on Elon Musk’s far-right social media platform “X” by quoting, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.”   DeSantis concluded by stating, “It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” and he closed by giving Trump his full endorsement. When asked directly by a 9-year-old at a town hall in New Hampshire Thursday evening, Republican candidate for president Nikki Haley said that she “ would issue a pardon” for Donald Trump if she becomes president.   Ron DeSantis, while doing his best to be evasive, implied something similar a few months ago.   Haley then added that she would do this because having an 80-year-old man sitting in jail would continue to divide our country, and our nation needs healing. Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has decided to remove Donald Trump from the Republican primary ballot, making Maine the second state in the country to block the former president from running again under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution that prevents insurrectionists from holding office.   This, along with the Colorado decision, has left the Republican Party furious, and they vow to take the case all the way to the US Supreme Court. In a campaign clip released this week on his “ Truth Social ” platform, former President Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of “overseeing a Soviet-style persecution of Catholics” and warned that FBI undercover spies are about to infiltrate the churches.   Trump added that “Under Crooked Joe Biden, Christians and Americans of faith are being persecuted like nothing this nation has ever seen before.”   In response to the alleged persecution, Trump announced that if elected as president again, he would create a new federal task force to fight anti-Christian bias led by a “reformed” Department of Justice that would involve multiple agencies and departments. Right-wing podcast host and Trump apologist Steve Bannon told viewers on his Real America’s Voice “War Room” show that children should be taught to handle guns in school so they are not "picked on" by bullies.   Bannon claims, “We should get kids off social media and start teaching them the proper use of guns, how to defend themselves, their own self-defense,” adding that “we should make that an integrated part of the education so they're not picked on or not threatened and certainly not scared.” Why, what an innovative idea!  Put an end to school bullying by letting the kiddies loose in the schoolyard with loaded guns.   Makes you wonder why no educational institutions ever have come up with an idea like that before.   And Red State politicians could pass “Stand Your Playground” laws to legally protect school kids who have chosen to exercise their “God-given” Second Amendment rights on each other in America’s schoolyards. The Washington Post reports that a federal jury has ordered Rudy Giuliani to pay $148 million to two Georgia election workers who sued him for defamation, asserting that the former New York Mayor and attorney for Donald Trump exposed them to a life-altering torrent of abuse and trauma by promoting false claims that they stole the 2020 election from the former president in Georgia. Not long after Texas Judge Maya Guerra Gamble issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) barring the state of Texas from preventing a woman who has severe pregnancy complications from having an abortion, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent out threatening letters to Texas hospitals informing them that the TRO is temporary and that Texas will go after any hospital or doctor that provides pregnant Katie Cox with the necessary abortion. He then petitioned the conservative Texas Supreme Court, who then (as expected) overruled the lower court’s decision, thereby placing the woman’s abortion status in limbo.   The fetus Katie Cox is carrying suffers from Edwards Syndrome, a fetal anomaly that, 50% of the time, results in the fetus dying before or during birth, with 95 percent of those surviving past that dying painful deaths within the next two weeks.   Doctors have advised Cox the pregnancy is non-viable, and proceeding with it carries significant risks to her own future healt...

Bloomberg reports genetic testing company 23andMe has confirmed that some 6.9 million of their customers had their data compromised after an anonymous hacker accessed user profiles by using compromised passwords from other websites and posted that data for sale on the dark web earlier this year.   This data breach included information from nearly half of all 23andMe’s users. Wow, say it isn’t so!  I mean, who could’ve ever dreamed that someone’s online information could be compromised?  Why, I’ve never heard of such a thing.  Of course, the truth be known, all the hackers actually got was simply an “analysis” of people's DNA, including things such as your ancestral origins, along with how likely you are to develop certain diseases.  You know, whether or not you’ll go bald or get Athlete’s Foot if you walk around barefoot in your gym’s locker room.  Not their actual DNA data.  The fact is, this has happened to me so many times from various corporate w...
