Prominent Republicans like Ted Cruz and others are acting completely shocked and angry after President Biden referred to Trump’s private cadre of MAGA insurrectionists as “semi-fascist.”   In fact, Sen. Ted Cruz responded to President Biden by tweeting “The communists have always called their enemies fascists,” while Sen. Republicans such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Tucker Carlson, Matt Gaetz, and Vern Buchanan are expressing outrage over President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan, which cancels a portion of student loan debt for the country’s middle-class students.   Meanwhile, many of these same Republicans received hundreds of thousands, with some even millions in PPP loans, which have been forgiven.   Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene had $183,504 forgiven, Matt Gaetz $476,000, Lauren Boebert $233,000, and Vern Buchanan had a whopping $2.3 million in government loans forgiven. OK, so let’s see here - Vern Buchanan is worth over $70 million, and his three car dealerships had at least $2.3 million in PPP loans forgiven. InfoWars host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones has decided to suspend his long-time support for former president Donald Trump, and is now backing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the 2024 presidential race, whom Jones claims is “way better than Trump.”   Jones explained that “I pigheadedly supported [Trump] a few years ago, even though I disagreed with his Warp Speed” program to develop the COVID vaccine, but he stuck with him because he felt anything would be better than Biden or Hillary.   Jones says he’s now supporting Ron DeSantis because "I can look in his eyes,” adding that “DeSantis is sincere!” OK, sure - but did you know that if you look directly into Donald Trump’s eyes for long enough, you can actually see the original recipe for Colonel Sanders’ secret sauce - so there’s that!  Even so, it’s no real surprise when a guy like Alex Jones, who makes his living by causing others to suffer pain and misery, could “look into Ron DeSantis’ eyes,” and really like what he sees!
