Simmering Threats of Violence Dominate GOP Circles Over FBI Mar-a-Lago ‘Raid’


Right-wing agitators with millions of followers have long insisted the time will soon arrive when violence will not only be necessary, but also be one’s patriotic duty in order to “save the republic.”  The FBI’s search at Mar-a-Lago for classified documents is now presented as that tipping point, an existential threat to the United States that true patriots must thwart and prepare for “civil war.”  Meanwhile, folks like Representatives Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are calling for defunding the FBI, while one Florida legislator is demanding Florida law enforcement immediately arrest any FBI personnel within the state, and sever all ties with Federal law enforcement agencies.

Of course, and to no one’s surprise, Donald Trump is claiming “nothing like this ever happened to another ex-president before,” which is basically true, but that’s only because nothing like a “President Donald Trump” has ever happened to America before.  I mean, how dare these law enforcement agencies try and do their job, which is to enforce our laws!


I also find it hilarious listening to Trump whine about how this was a completely “unannounced raid.”  No kidding?  What did he expect, the FBI to call up and ask “Is this a convenient time for us to drop by?  We’d hate to impose.”  Besides, what’s he complaining about, anyway?  He’s already started fundraising off this.  Why, Trump ought to send Merrick Garland a nice “thank you note” if you ask me.


Meanwhile, MAGAs are claiming this is all so unfair to President Trump, and don’t understand why the FBI just doesn't watch Fox News or Newsmax - rather than doing their job.  That way, they’d understand that when Trump accuses someone else of doing something HE actually did, authorities are supposed to go after whomever Trump is “accusing” of doing the crime, NOT HIM!  It’s all so simple - if you just stick with the program.


Anyway, thanks to rightist media provocateurs, and opportunistic politicians like Ron DeSantis, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Rick Scott fanning the flames, folks who've made bad decisions all their lives will soon be heading off to war for a man who couldn’t care less about them.  Time to squeeze that big belly into that tactical gear you picked up at the Army & Navy Surplus, and wave that AR-15 around like a tough guy.


You see, Trump was running the same criminal enterprise out of the White House that he's now running out of Mar-a-Lago.  Therefore, until he’s sitting in jail, America has to be considered an “active crime scene.”  This was all very fine until the FBI moved in, and now Republicans are quite rattled.  So much so, that some are even considering asking Colin Kaepernick to take a knee, and pray for Donald Trump.

Anti-Vax Newsmax Host Says Diseases are Supposed to Kill People

Conservative network Newsmax has been forced to “distance itself” from remarks uttered by host Rob Schmitt this week, who claimed that vaccines go "against nature" because diseases are "supposed to wipe out a certain amount of people,” and that vaccinations “unnaturally interfere with viruses' designs on killing people.” Wow, kinda looks like the “Schmitt” has really hit the fan over at Newsmax.  So, they want to “distance” themselves from Schmitt’s remarks, do they?  Gee, makes you wonder if the morons who run Newsmax know they actually have the option not hire anti-science nitwits like Schmitt as anchors in the first place?  Not to worry though, should Schmitt get fired, I'm sure folks like Kevin McCarthy or Rand Paul would warmly welcome him to become part of their staffs. 2020 GOP Senate Nominee Claims the Equality Act Will ‘Illegalize’ Jesus Christ

The Equality Ac t is a bill before the United States Congress, that would simply prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, public accommodations, education, federally funded programs, etc.   It doesn’t dictate what churches or religious people must believe, but that hasn’t stopped right-wing, QAnon, and flat Earth activist Lauren Witzke - the GOP’s failed 2020 Senate candidate from Delaware - from going on Alan Jones’ InfoWars and claiming that the bill will “illegalize Jesus Christ” and “categorize the Scripture as hate speech.” Well, given her stance on immigrants, I can’t imagine why she’d ever object to anyone “trying to illegalize Jesus Christ.”  I mean, by her standards - isn’t Jesus basically just another “illegal immigrant” from the Middle East?  So, what’s the problem?  Why, if you don’t believe me, then try telling some border patrol agent “but, but, I’m the son of God” - and see how far ...
