In a recent interview with Fox News, former First Lady Melania Trump claimed that during the January 6th Capitol insurrection, she was completely unaware of the violence going on, because she was “busy fulfilling one of my duties as First Lady of the United States of America,” which actually turned out to be having her carpet photographed. Melania Used Newfound Leverage to Redo Prenup After Election:   According to a new book written by Washington Post reporter Mary Jordan, the real reason First Lady Melania Trump stayed in New York for months after the President's inauguration, was to leverage a more favorable renegotiation of her prenuptial agreement. Ah, nothing says “true love,” quite like renegotiating your prenup.  I’ll tell you one thing, I’d buy Melania’s Art of the Deal any day before I’d ever buy Donald’s.  What a shame such a book wasn’t around when Stormy Daniels was doing her negotiating with Trump. Trump Family Promotes Themselves and Their Businesses in Europe:   Critics are crying foul over the fact that all of President Trump’s adult children accompanied him at “taxpayer expense,” on his recent European tour - all the while, promoting both themselves and their business interests. Trump Vows Not to Reopen Federal Government Without Wall Funding:  In a recent Oval Office appearance, President Trump declared that he fully intends to keep the federal government closed until he secures the desired funding from Congress for his promised border wall.   Gee, sounds like poor Donald is dreaming about his border wall almost as much as he dreams about having sex with Melania again.  Unfortunately for him, the way things appear to be going - his prospects for either aren’t really looking very good. Federal Judge in Texas Rules Entire Obamacare Law Unconstitutional:  In response to Republican challenges and recent changes in federal tax law, a federal judge in Texas ruled that the entire Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) law is unconstitutional - a ruling which could leave millions uninsured as well as those with pre-existing conditions uninsurable. Melania Demands White House National Security Official Be Fired:   The office of first lady Melania Trump is calling for the ouster of deputy National Security Adviser and John Bolton confidant Mira Ricardel, amid reports that Ricardel quarreled with the first lady's staff during Melania’s recent trip to Africa over seating arrangements on their plane and over the use of National Security Council resources.  So, if I’m understanding all this correctly, we now apparently have Melania Trump making major National Security Council staffing decisions.  I’ve gotta hand it to them, when you factor in the influence of people like son-in-law Jared Kushner, daughter Ivanka, son Don Jr and the rest of the gang, it appears as if the Trumps have managed to transform the entire functioning of the United States Government into kind of a second-rate mom and pop operation.
