Federal Judge Denies NRA Scheme to Declare Bankruptcy:  A federal judge has denied an effort by the National Rifle Association (NRA) to file for bankruptcy protection, ruling that the gun-rights group had filed the case in a bad-faith attempt to try and fend off a lawsuit by the New York attorney general.  The hearing painted the “non-profit” as an organization that prioritized extravagant perks and insider payments to chief executive Wayne LaPierre and other executives - such as mansions, yachts, private jets, and expensive suits - at the expense of its rank-and-file members.” 

Wow, one almost gets the impression that the NRA and Republicans don’t really promote the 2nd Amendment as a way to protect our democracy, but use it instead as a way to threaten our democratic system of government and any politics with which they happen to disagree.  Gee, who could have known - other than anyone who still has a reasonable amount of integrity or sanity left in them? 


In response, Republican leaders and NRA advocates immediately issued a stinging proclamation claiming that “if every man, woman, and child were free to carry a gun, America wouldn’t need an NRA.”  Gee, every man, woman, and child?  Perhaps, but I still maintain that toddlers shouldn’t be trusted with a firearm any larger than a Derringer or a Bullpup 9.


Now, despite the ruling, angry Republican leaders vow to continue their effort to ensure that every single American citizen remains a sitting duck in a country that the NRA and Republicans have basically turned into a coast-to-coast shooting gallery - even if the NRA is no longer around to sponsor it all.  Wow, is it just me, or do these folks make even the Church of Scientology look respectable? 


Anyway, on a positive note for all those wonderful folks like Wayne LaPierre, Republican leaders, and other NRA executives, I wouldn’t feel too badly about this “bankruptcy petition” being denied by the courts.  After all, in the hearts and minds of most Americans - the NRA will always be thought of as “morally bankrupt.”

Former Trump National Security Advisor Warns ‘Deep State’ Putting COVID Vaccine in Salad Dressing

Former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was fired and then prosecuted for lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russia before being ultimately pardoned by Trump, is now sliding further into the QAnon conspiracy world, telling the hosts of an online show dedicated to COVID and election fraud conspiracies - that he has heard the “Deep State” is attempting to “sneak coronavirus vaccine into salad dressing.” Now, I have no idea where Gen. Flynn got this information, but my guess is it was probably a text from Mike Lindell or Rudy Giuliani, alerting him to the “hidden dangers of salad dressing.”  Or, it could have been Nicki Minaj for all I know.  After all, she does have another cousin who has a friend in Timbuktu.  Word on the street has it the “Deep State” will initially start with “Ranch Dressing” to vaccinate the cowboys, then move on to “Russian Dressing,” to get the rest of Trump’s supporters. Elon Musk Calls for the Prosecution of Anthony Fauci

Over the weekend, Elon Musk took to his Twitter account to call for the prosecution of infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci, endorsing a convoluted, right-wing conspiracy theory that claims Dr. Fauci financed the COVID-19 pandemic.   Musk then proceeded to mock transgender people by adding “My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci.” Gee, the “world’s richest right-wing troll” said what?  Now, I realize it's a really low bar, but I think we’ve finally found someone who actually knows less about pronouns - than Herschel Walker.   Not to be critical, but a good sign you may have a wee bit too much money on your hands, is when you blow 44 billion dollars, just to call people names.
